Just a few thoughts from yesterday.
1. Tim Schroeder. Whoa! If you were at Quincy on a String last night you know exactly what I'm talking about. Tim brought out the "Flying V" Gibson electric and brought the house down with his solo licks and rockin' (AND I MEAN ROCKIN') version of "This is the Day." It was incredible to watch and play drums with him.
2. Joshua Balingcongan. I can't say enough about him. He was so great leading worship yesterday, and what an honor to be able to present him with a guitar. THANK YOU CHURCH FOR MAKING THAT HAPPEN FOR HIM.
3. First Quincy Guests. Not sure if you noticed (IF YOU DIDN'T NOTICE YOU MUST HAVE BEEN ASLEEP), but we had many guests worshipping with us. It is always great to have guests worshipping with us. Make sure you make it a point each week to welcome and greet those around you who you may not know. One of the reasons a guests comes back is how they are greeted and welcomed when they come.
It was a great day at First Quincy yesterday. I love serving Christ with Gus, Bill, and Connie, and I love worshipping with all of you.
