It was a great day in Q-town today. Here's a few highlights from the day.
-Equipping our church to make evangelism a priority is always my favorite thing to do. If a church is not making more disciples, are they really a church? We all have friends, relatives, associates, and neighbors that need Christ. Let's take Christ to them. Supporting and becoming part of the GO Ministry is one way to hlep.
-Part of evangelism means creating a worship service that's worth coming to. Gus seriously challenged our church to be a church where lost people want to be. Lost people loved to hang out with Jesus so when they hate the church it's a reflection on us.
-Our God Saves...serioulsy, I love singing that song. The world desperately needs to hear it.
-People Need the Lord...maybe it's an old-school song, maybe you think it's cheesy. But next time you sit in crowded restaurant at lunch, look around. People who need the Lord are all around you. Man up and do something about it!
-Playing flag football with the students was a blast. Too bad I'm still awesome. I may walk on at Bama next week. My only problem is I can only run 12 steps before stopping and I'm slower now than I was 6 months ago.
-Seeing Wes and Stoney launch into their role as servant leaders (aka "deacons") was great. They're young, family guys who will help carry FBCQ foward in the future.
-Writing a historical background study on Luke 20 at midnight the day before it's due is not smart. Ah well. The practice of ministry is so much better than the academic study of ministry.
Ready for a big week. Hoping to share Christ with a couple people along the way. Hope you do too! Outtie.
