visiting some old stomping grounds...

I got pretty excited today when I bought some concert tickets for our students this morning. First, I'm excited because I'm taking them to see Family Force 5. These guys are so rockin'. I've seen them twice already, but now I'm pumped to take our students to see them. This is the first show in a long time where it's a band the students actually want to see not just whoever happens to show at the Tally Civic Center. My students know all the lyrics to all the songs, and they are ready to rock. Secondly, it's going to be awesome because they are playing the Murray Hill Theatre in Jacksonville. It's the same stage where I played a few shows back when I was cool, young and skinny. MHT is an awesome venue that is small enough to keep the concerts intimate, but big enough to rock the house down. Sure it will be a long drive to Jacksonville and back in one night, but who cares?!?! We're gonna rock it all the way to J-Ville and back. I might even breakout some cardboard for some breakdancin'!
