Day 1 has come to a close...

The students are now in their rooms getting ready to sleep...ok, they are in the rooms, but I am sure they are far from sleeping. We had a great first day as we had opening celebration and then spent some time with our ministry tracks planning out the next 4 days. We've got students doing children's ministry, construction, games & recreation ministry, and social ministry. I've already seen our students stretching themselves and establishing themselves as leaders within their respective groups. Tonight I challenged them to be the leaders in every situation this week by being the first to serve. Be the students who never complain. Be the students who do everything they are asked. Be the students to do things before being asked. If they do that in genuine humility, God will establish them as leaders. Looking forward to a great week. We hit the ground running at 6:30am.
