It's 1AM and as I write this my beautiful wife is sleeping right next to me. She fell asleep at 11:55PM and missed the clock rolling over to midnight to signify the beginning of this day--October 9. What's special about October 9? For Sara Beth and I, it is the day we began our joureny together in marriage. Four years ago today, weez got hitched!
It seems just like yesterday that I was hanging with my boys waiting to enter the sanctuary to "Eye of the Tiger"--and yes, we totally entered to that song! Just seconds before the wedding, my future brother-in-law said, "It's not too late to run. We'll cover for you." It was a great ceremony, and my older brother Darron did a great job with the service. A full band rocked the church on our march out, and a kickin' party began to celebrate the commitment. We rolled out of the reception on a Harley (SB's dream), and the marriage officially began.
So what do I say now four years later...
1. I love her more now than ever before.
2. She's my best friend, and my closest companion.
3. She's the perfect partner in ministry.
4. I've grown in my compassion and love for all people because of her.
5. I am still captivated by her beauty--inside and out.
6. I laugh everyday with her (and sometimes at her)
7. The woman can flat out cook.
Thank you God for Sara Beth.
PS--We're off to the beach with no computers, no cells, and no agenda. Wow! Let me go to sleep now so it will come faster!
